All laundry positions come with many great benefits including but not limited to: 35 hours per week guaranteed effective immediately Staff meals every day, our staff cafeteria provides free Breakfast, a vegetarian & meat option for lunch & dinner at just $2.37 per meal, take out is available Subsidized staff housing is guaranteed with an immediate check-in; daily rent starting from $6.50 - $17.00 per day Competitive compensation Opportunity to grow your career We are currently seeking a full-time Laundry Runner/Attendant, flexibility is required to workday shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. The wage will be negotiated based on experience for 30-40 hours per week. Summary of position: The Laundry Runner/Attendant is responsible for the transport of linen carts with clean laundry to the storage closets on each floor and to replenish linen and towels based on the amount for each floor noted on the distribution form. Other responsibilities include the cleaning and organizing of items in our supply/ storage and linen closets. Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Demonstrate a working knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures as required in order to maintain a secure and safe environment for guests and employees Ensure ample to supply of linen and amenities are stocked in housekeeping closets on each floor Remove all dirty linens/towels from laundry chute for proper handling Remove all trash, bring it to the dumpster and sort out recycling; place in proper spots Perform cleaning duties on assigned side Clean vending/laundry area and remove trash Clean inside windows Sweep and mop stairwells and floor Operate in house washer and dryers, wash, dry and fold towels, linen and uniforms Count, sort and record clean linen and tablecloths as noted on the distribution form Assist with the pickup and return delivery of laundry to and from other properties Check laundered articles to ensure that established standards are met Any other assignments assigned by the Laundry Manager or Supervisor Essential Function: Prolonged periods of standing/walking Must be able to work independently without immediate supervision Ability to visually check work, work area and hotel spaces Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling Occasional ascending or descending of stairs Class 5 Driver’s Licence and clean abstract Previous experience is an asset Other requirements: Knowledge of English language enough to engage guests in conversations Ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner Ability to communicate with all managers, supervisors and fellow associates Be well groomed and conform hotel dress code Employee Incentives: Three salary increases during first year of employment; term bonus and summer bonus available Friends and family rates available at all three properties, F&B discounts available at The Crave Mountain Grill and La Terrazza Dining Room & Lounge Health benefits available after 8 months of employment including life insurance, dental, medical and drug coverage Ski Pass subsidy available, receive a return of up to $350; payroll deduction available Education reimbursement for English as a Second Language Course Payroll deduction available for a local gym membership Uniforms supplied and free cleaning available Living in beautiful Banff National Park!
