TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for an INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (MILLWRIGHT/WELDING BACKGROUND) for an Edmonton area-based opportunity. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

Job Description:

· Managing and supervising a crew of millwrights, welders, and other maintenance personnel while ensuring strict compliance with all company and legislated safety codes, policies, and practices.

· Leading and executing scheduled shutdowns/turnarounds while driving a strong preventative and predictive maintenance culture within the team.

· Overseeing the daily and long-term maintenance requirements of operations, including ensuring timely repair and reliability of all mechanical equipment in the designated area. Identifying root causes of equipment failures and implementing corrective actions to support continuous improvement initiatives.

· Developing and optimizing area maintenance systems, procedures, preventative maintenance (PM) programs, and condition-based maintenance strategies.

· Identifying operational and maintenance gaps, developing improvement plans, and leading capital or reliability projects to completion.

· Mentoring trades personnel, enforcing safe work practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

· Managing employee attendance, performance evaluations, workforce planning, and skills development

Job Requirements:

· Journeyperson Millwright certification OR Journeyperson Welding certification

· Minimum 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with a strong background in millwrighting or welding within oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.

· Minimum 5+ years of proven supervisory or leadership experience overseeing maintenance teams in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial operations (required).

· Demonstrated experience leading shutdowns/turnarounds in industrial or oil & gas facilities.

· Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning practices.

· Extensive experience working in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial environments (required).

· Ability to organize, set priorities, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced operational setting.

· Strong leadership presence with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

· Sound technical judgment, problem-solving ability, and a results-driven mindset.
