Your role as the Nordic Spa Pool Operator is critical to delivering on this promise. In this role, you are expected to exceed guest expectations by creating “picture perfect” guest experiences. You will achieve excellence by cleaning and maintaining the facility throughout your shift in addition to operating the pools, saunas, steams rooms, pool deck and outdoor areas for safe guest use.

Conduct water samples to test and monitor pool chemistry and make necessary adjustments to maintain our quality standards.
Monitor the pool filtration system and complete scheduled inspections throughout shift to maintain proper operation.
Complete washing schedules as assigned or outlined in daily checklists.
Maintain a safe and clean pool deck by organizing furniture, clearing debris and picking up towels and robes.
Clean and maintain all outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces.
Complete maintenance checklist and address minor issues to prevent escalation; reporting and logging maintenance issues beyond scope immediately to leader.
Champion safety protocols and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Manage maintenance incidents during shift and escalate to a manager or supervisor when necessary.
Contribute to a collaborative workplace, supporting community and common goals.
Demonstrate pride in work by creating positive energy, teamwork, and fun.
Understand and adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
Exhibit exceptional follow-up and ownership of tasks with strong attention to detail.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Passions/Education

Previous Spa or Hotel maintenance experience preferred
Current Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license preferred
WHMIS, First Aid (Including CPR) preferred
Able to lift, move, and handle pool chemicals responsibly
Good judgement around safety and guest experience
Comfortable with technology and open to new learning


Working Conditions

Due to 365-day-a-year operations, this position may be required to work long shifts that include late hours, weekends, and holidays. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. This position spends a lot of time on their feet, multitasking competing priorities, and will spend a considerable amount of their shift outdoors in all seasons.
