As a Maintenance Technician, you will be helping to ensure the physical plant is in good working order and providing a friendly positive experience for all our guests.

What will I be doing?
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Perform chemical tests for the hot tubs.
Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc.
Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
Install appliances and equipment.
Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm).
Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
Report to Maintenance Manager any issues that need additional outside assistance.
Ensure that all Occupational Health & Safety policies and training are followed.
Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments
Other related duties based on seasonal needs
May include shift work
What are the skills, abilities and attitudes we are looking for?

· Experience in hotel maintenance is an asset
· A valid clean Alberta Class 5 Drivers License
· A friendly customer-focused attitude
· Strong verbal English communication skills with emphasis on problem-solving.
· Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and procedures
· Attention to detail.
· Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
· Must have a valid work permit for Canada to be considered.
· A criminal record check will be required
