DETAILS

Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants
Full-time position, average of 40 hours per week
First 90 days: $21.75 per hour
After 90 days: $23.75 per hour
Summer Incentive Bonus: Receive $2/hr on every regular hour worked between May - Oct (conditions apply)
SUMMARY:

The Night Auditor is responsible for security of the hotel during the shift, assumes front desk duties, credit & debit card balancing, reconciliations, and generates reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for checking in and checking out hotel guests

· Responsible for answering the hotel phone and taking reservations

· Responsible for responding appropriately to internal guest requests

· Responsible for providing guest wake-up calls when requested

· Answer enquiries regarding hotel services, and services available in the community

· Improve guest experience through recognizing and resolving guest issues promptly

· Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times

· Ensure cash handling procedure are followed at all times

· Ensure that front desk and lobby is maintained clean, safe and secure

· Ensure the Guest Service Standards, Hotel Policies and Procedures are maintained at all times

· Complete daily check-list as required

· Point of contact in event of an emergency

· Responsible for balancing revenue transactions for front desk and restaurant outlets

· Perform Manager on Duty tasks as required

· Responsible for rooms audit and verification of rate over-rides

· Balance of preliminary audit

· Prepare Daily Statistics report and all other internal reports as required

· Check in regularly with Security staff to ensure smooth operation of the hotel

· Report any unusual occurrences or requests to Security and Morning Manager on Duty

· Other duties as assigned by Front Office Manager or Financial Controller

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 6 months of Hotel Front Desk/Night Audit is required

· Computer experience with Opera system is preferred

· A passion for customer service, and a strong attention to details

· Knowledge of foreign languages is an asset

· Previous accounting experience or education is an asset

· Ability to work independently

· Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

· Knowledge of computers and cash handling experience mandatory.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Proven ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately

Health & Safety Responsibilities

· Ensure all Health & Safety Policies/Procedures are being followed

· Leading Guest/team Member Evacuation in emergency situations

· Must be able to deal with irate guests

· Trained to handle burglaries/thefts
