Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, technical skills in blueprint reading, and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. The Scaffold Builder plays a vital part in ensuring safe and efficient access for construction projects, including tasks related to concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, and other building trades.

Responsibilities

Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assemble scaffolding structures accurately.
Measure and cut materials using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding systems safely according to CSA standards and project requirements.
Assist with related construction tasks such as concrete forming, masonry work, carpentry, or electrical installations as needed.
Operate heavy equipment safely when required for material handling or site preparation.
Ensure all scaffolding components are inspected regularly for safety and compliance before use.
Collaborate with other tradespeople including welders, masons, electricians, and carpenters to facilitate smooth workflow on-site.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently.
Skills

Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, wrenches), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation.
Experience with construction-related tasks such as concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, restoration, or cabinet installation is a plus.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to scaffold assembly and working at heights.
Ability to interpret technical instructions and schematics accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different trades.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
