Banff Avenue Brewing Company is a well established brewery and restaurant who has made a name for itself as a local favourite. Nestled in the beautiful Banff National Park, we are a high volume business with a focus on creating amazing guest experiences and offering quality food and beverage with exceptional craft beer. A part of the Bearhill brewing family, we current boast breweries and distilleries in Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton.

We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Head Chef to oversee our culinary program and kitchen operations. Reporting directly our Corporate Chef, the ideal candidate is someone who thrives under pressure in a fast paced, but fun kitchen. You will have the ability to plan, organize, communicate, and lead a large team through high volumes of business and have a passion for sharing your skills and knowledge. What you do:

- Handle hiring, training, coaching and developing all new employees

- Work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to provide exceptional experience for all guests

- Handle seasonal menu changes, initiate and co-develop new culinary products (creativity encouraged!)

- Manage ordering, weekly inventory, control COG’s and menu costs

- Ensure quality and consistency across all menu items.

- Create a fun, welcoming and safe environment for all employees.

What You Have:

- Strong Leadership Skills including 5 + years in a previous leadership position: you are a natural at getting the very best from your team through coaching and development.

- Previous experience with inventory systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to thrive in fast paced environments and flexibility to change based on requirements.

- Able to work well in a team environment and collaborate on ideas and events: working closely with the FOH management team for the best possible guest experience.
