Full job description
Bear Street Outfitters is seeking an experienced Bicycle Mechanic to join our team in Banff, Alberta. This position involves servicing customer bikes as well as maintaining and managing our rental fleet in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of bicycles, including mountain bikes, road bikes, and e-bikes
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
Maintain and service the rental fleet to ensure all bikes are safe and ready for use
Conduct safety inspections and ensure bikes meet shop standards
Repair or replace components including brakes, drivetrains, and e-bike systems
Maintain accurate records of repairs, work orders, and inventory
Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
Requirements:

Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic in a shop environment
Strong working knowledge of bicycle components and repair techniques
Experience with hydraulic brake systems and e-bike diagnostics is an asset
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and customer service skills
