Position Summary

We are currently looking to add a hardworking, enthusiastic Formwork Carpenter with a strong commitment to safety, to our Team. The Formwork Carpenter is responsible for building, installing, and dismantling formwork systems used in concrete construction. This role requires strong technical skill, precision, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and experienced in structural and architectural concrete work.

Key Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
Build, assemble, set, and strip formwork for foundations, slabs, walls, columns, and structural elements.
Measure, cut, shape, and install materials including lumber, plywood, and prefabricated formwork systems.
Install and align formwork components such as joists, shoring, bracing, and panel systems.
Construct engineered formwork systems (e.g., Peri, Doka, EFCO) when required.
Assist with concrete pours, including vibration, screeding, and finishing support as needed.
Ensure forms are level, square, and meeting required dimensions and tolerances.
Safely operate carpentry tools including power saws, drills, nailers, fastening tools, levels, lasers, and tape measures.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Follow all Aman Builders safety procedures, site policies, and OHS regulations.
Use appropriate PPE and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Knowledge and Skills Required

Include but are not limited to:

Journeyperson Ticket is an asset but not required.
Valid Fall Protection and able to work at heights.
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Training.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Formwork Carpenter in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction.
Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and formwork systems.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and measurements.
Physically able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights.
Reliable transportation to various job sites.
