Full job description
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Will train
Tasks
Assist clients on and off amusement park rides and secure and release safety belts and bars
Operate machines to clean, smooth and prepare ice surfaces
Record weather information and other data
Schedule events, programs and activities
Schedule work
Set up rides and amusements
Determine snow quality
Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage
Monitor safety area
Provide instruction and assistance to skiers on surface lift techniques and loading and unloading of chair lifts
Collect tickets and fees, and rent or sell sports and accessory equipment
Operate radio and other communication equipment to communicate emergency events, maintenance of equipment and other procedures with staff members
Assist patrons on and off rides
Arrange for maintenance and repair work
Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Supervise operation of mechanical equipment and machinery
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
Provide customer service
Supervise office and volunteer staff
