The Role:

As a Concierge, you will be an important member of the Front Office team that creates a warm arrival experience for the guest while exceeding their expectations. You will act as a guide to help guest rediscover the beauty of the Canadian Rockies through the endless list of activities inside and outside the resort. As a concierge of the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, you will be an ambassador for our hotel, brand, and the Kananaskis valley. It is important for you to experience the activities and learn about the products offered. You must be able to confidently, and passionately speak to our guests about all that Kananaskis has to offer.

Job Duties:

Reporting to the Guest Activities Manager, the primary responsibilities are:

Reaching out to guests in advance to begin creating itineraries prior to their arrival.
Responding to guest’s requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers.
Ensure that at all times, an up-to-date selection of booklets, guides, maps and brochures of local attractions are available.
Ensure all dining options are up to date at all times with newest menus
Provide personal recommendations and make reservations for dining options in the Hotel.
Arrange taxis, chauffeur-hire limousines and the bookings of travel, entertainment and tour arrangements for the guests.
Assisting guest’s book excursions, pre purchase lift tickets at Nakiska, and book tee times at the newly opened Kananaskis Golf course. You will also be assisting guest in booking activities arranged by Family activities including kid’s camp and so much more.
Being an ambassador for the lobby and assisting guests with all inquiries.
Ensuring the desk and lobby area are clean and well presented at all times.
Apart from your regular duties, you will support guest services in the lobby and ensure that the lobby is covered and kept clean.
All other duties as assigned.
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

Knowledge of Opera PMS is an asset.
Able to manage tasks independently with attention to detail and customer service focus.
Able to take initiative and solve problems.
Strong knowledge of Kananaskis, Hotels and surrounding area
Excellent phone manner and communication skills (verbal and written)
Business or Hospitality degree an asset
