With two locations in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the Jeff Walker Gallery is a fine-art photography gallery by local artist Jeff Walker. We’re searching for a passionate, polished, and well spoken Sales & Art Consultant to join our gallery team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong sales instinct with retail selling experience in a luxury environment. You are not afraid to dive in and learn new systems, and new ways of selling. You're responsible, thoughtful, energetic and pride yourself on providing the highest level of service, professionalism and experience to anyone who walks through our doors. You are a natural communicator and are passionate about art and sharing stories.

You must be available to work at both gallery locations.

As a Sales/Art Consultant, your primary responsibilities will be:

Creating a welcoming environment & providing excellent customer service at all times
Engage & educate visitors – Share the stories behind each piece and help customers find the perfect artwork.
Convert conversations into sales – Confidently guide guests through purchasing decisions.
Assist with gallery operations – Handle opening/closing duties, inventory management, and CRM updates.
Tracking and managing inventory
Follow up with customers & collectors – Manage emails, calls, and relationship-building.
Gallery presentation & maintenance
Hanging/Revamp of pieces within the gallery (every 2-3 months)
Packing and preparing pieces for shipments
Work collaboratively with other employees to provide support on a wide range of administrative tasks and daily operations

Qualifications & Requirements:

2-3 years of sales experience, ideally in a luxury retail or gallery setting
A genuine interest in Art and Interior Decor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with POS systems
Processing and managing large payment transactions with confidence
Confident and comfortable using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Monday.com and other CRM software
High degree of computer literacy and ability to learn new programs (MAC OS)
Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign is a plus.
Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Happy to work in a team environment to continue the growth of the business
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
