Full job description
ACTIVITIES:

The duties and responsibilities for the Houseperson include, but are not limited to the following:

Thorough and complete cleaning requirements on all guest floors, public washroom, elevators, stairwells, and interior/exterior public areas, fitness room/showers as set by efficiency standards of the hotel.
Carpet Shampooing and deep cleaning.
Ensure security standards are practiced, to protect guest’s and employee’s privacy and belongings.
Follow hotel policies in relation to key control, and the security of hotel property, including linens, supply carts, vacuums and storage rooms.
Meet and exceed guest and co-worker expectations by providing exemplary service and teamwork.
Ensure all guests receive prompt attention, providing value-added service by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to exceed guest expectations.
Assist with inventories and help prevent waste and misuse of guest and cleaning supplies and equipment.
Assist room attendants in order to have a smooth operation. Remove all garbage, soiled linen and dirty food trays from corridors in a prompt manner.
Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, and follow procedures listed in shift checklists.
Clean corridors and vents.
Strip rooms.
Wash floor and windows.
Responds to Front desk calls, assisting in checking rooms, luggage delivery and guest special request.
Communicates with MOD and co-workers regarding product/ service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.
Maintains pool and fitness room supplies of towels.

Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure during busy times.
Literacy skills – reading, writing, and oral.
Outstanding organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Work well independently and in a team environment with minimum supervision.
Self-motivated, honest, creative, capable of working in a team environment.
Flexible attitude to scheduled shifts – the incumbent may need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.
