Our Events Coordinators provide proposals, convert sales, and fulfill event preparation details so that our hotels and restaurants can perfectly execute events for the meeting, events, wedding and social group market segments. Duties and Responsibilities: Respond to event inquires, create proposals and follow through with the sales and booking process Prepare event files including contracting, room block agreements, charge routing, invoices and BEOs, ensuring all event files are complete and ready to be passed to the hotels and restaurants for successful event execution Take an active role in sales conversion including a revenue focused approach to selling rooms, event space and food & beverage services. Ensure booking information is efficiently and effectively communicated to all departments Meet clients for site inspections Provide assistance to Senior Sales and department Managers. Work safely. Obey all health and safety policies and procedures and report injuries and hazards immediately. Other tasks and projects as required for guest and business needs. Skills and Experience: Professional, accountable, flexible and responsive Demonstrates a natural sales mindset and is enthusiastic to learn the art of sales. Outgoing personality with commitment to providing a high level of customer service. Is passionate about creating memorable events for our clients An excellent communicator who works well in a time sensitive environment Is proficient with MS Office and Maestro (or another PMS) Has strong organizational skills and excellent attention to fine details The ability to maintain a light hearted, positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. A multi-tasker who works well independently and as a team member. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Travel may be required.
