With our current Property Maintenance person finishing up their winter contract, we are currently interviewing applicants for year round or a 12 month contract at Castle Mountain Chalets in Banff, Alberta. Positions are available for a start date of May 1st 2025. We offer competitive wages, on site accommodations, and a end of contract bonus for our 12 month contracts. Position Summary:

The Property Maintenance position is an integral part in the successful operation of the hotel property, and the candidate will be required to possess a confident and practical knowledge of construction, operation and maintenance of building envelopes, water, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, machinery and vehicle systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General maintenance of the property such as: grounds and lawn maintenance, snow removal, basic carpentry/plumbing/electrical/septic maintenance and upkeep, maintenance and servicing of equipment such as snow blower, snowmobile, lawn tractor, golf cart, service vehicles, etc.
Ordering supplies
Maintain records of all tasks and projects completed.
Inventory control of tools and supplies.
Ensuring all room deficiencies are addressed correctly and as quickly as possible.
Other duties as assigned.
Always respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
Take up any tasks assigned by department managers and the General Manager.
Maintain a good working relationship with contractors by property including organizing service calls when needed
Report to work in required uniform and in adherence with the Hotels Dress Code Policy.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to work after hours on call shifts

Prerequisites:

Previous Construction and or Maintenance experience required.

Must have a valid drivers license, with a minimum of three years of insurance history, and a clean drivers abstract.

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.

Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support team to reach common goals.

Adherence to Safety, and Workmanship expectations and standards.

Only applicants who complete the maintenance repair and skills assessment will be considered for the position.
