Full job description
Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff, AB is looking for a Chef de Partie to start in June. this is a full time position and staff accommodation is available.

Primary Function: To uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness across all kitchen outlets, ensuring exceptional culinary experiences for guests. To supervise kitchen station and ensure high quality menu preparation. To monitor sanitation, presentation standards and food costs. To support culinary team through training and development

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage workflow of assigned station
Train and mentor kitchen staff.
Prepare diverse dishes while following recipes and guidelines.
Verify consistency in portion sizes and visual presentation.
Perform administrative tasks – inventory, costing, ordering.
Ensure work area and equipment are properly cleaned.
Instruct and evaluate cooks on preparation methods.
Communicate effectively regarding menu changes, issues.
Adhere to appearance standards and kitchen policies.
Comply with health, safety and food handling procedures.
Requirements/Experience:

Culinary education or training is highly beneficial.
2+ years kitchen experience; supervisory experience an asset
Expertise in culinary techniques, food safety standards
Exceptional multi-tasking ability and composure
Commitment to cleanliness, efficiency and collaboration
Sharp critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
Comfort lifting up to 30 lbs., working in heat
Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
