ACTIVITIES:

The duties and responsibilities for the Assistant Housekeeping Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

Create 100% guest satisfaction by providing genuine hospitality and by exceeding guest expectations.
Ensures cleanliness, maintenance and presentation standards are managed to brand standards in all Housekeeping areas, including all guestrooms, public areas, offices, laundry, lockers and storage areas in both the front and back of house. Oversee inspection processes, ensuring feedback is delivered in constructive and appropriate manner with emphasis on positive reinforcement.
Assists in the hiring, training and career development of all housekeeping employees; assists with performance evaluations and communicating performance standards to employees.
Inspects the level of cleanliness in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms and public areas.
Assists in scheduling staff according to standards and forecasted occupancy; assigns daily work tasks to employees.
Assists in the ordering and receiving of linen and cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for efficient operation of the department; assists with monthly linen and supply inventory.
Ensures the completion of the Housekeeper’s Report and communicates clean and available rooms to the Guest Services Department.
Documents and communicates maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department to ensure hotel service quality standards are met.
Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
Conducts training regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines.
Ensures hotel is in compliance with all federal, provincial and local laws, including Health and Safety, ESA and Human Rights.
Other duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor
Proficiency with computers
