What you will be doing as an activities coordinator We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for our guests. Working alongside Community Engagement, the Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading a diverse range of events that cater to our guests' interests. While certain aspects are collaborative, a great deal of the work on the ground requires a disciplined sense of self-management. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive program that appeals to a diverse range of guests, including outdoor excursions, cultural tours, workshops, bar events, and social occasions. Coordinate with local vendors and organizations to arrange activities and ensure seamless execution. Lead activities and excursions, provide guidance, assistance, and ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. Nurture a sense of inclusion. Promote activities and events through various channels; including social media, print media, and direct guest engagement. Collect feedback from guests to continually improve and refine the activities program. Maintain accurate records of activity participation, expenses, and other relevant information. Collaborate with other departments to integrate activities into the overall guest experience. Organize a diverse range of engaging events tailored for the staff to promote a healthy work/ life balance and keep energy high during the high season What we look for We are looking for fun, outgoing and charismatic individual who is not afraid of a challenge and is keen to become the best activities coordinator imaginable! Ideally, you have... Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or event coordination preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality. Knowledge of the Banff area and local attractions is an asset. First Aid/CPR certification is desirable. Passion for travel, outdoor adventure, and creating memorable experiences for guests. Contentment with dynamic work hours, which can include many evenings and weekends. Ability to build and manage your own schedule Having a great level of fitness is a requirement, knowing how to bike, climb, canoe, sing and draw is a plus. But most importantly, you know how to have a good time and know how to involve others in the process. This position is available now!
