Barrett Hedges of BearHead Photography, is an internationally recognized wildlife photographer that is represented by National Geographic. His ‘Nature’s Wildest Moments Galleries’ are fine art galleries that feature his rare and unique images from nature. Barrett’s photos have been printed in numerous National Geographic magazines, Scholastic Books, have won numerous awards, and he also has a fine art gallery in Alaska.

We are looking for an energetic and confident employee that is passionate about sales and loves nature and wildlife. Someone who excels with customer relations and that is self-motivated.

Gallery Responsibilities:

Lead the sales team and be someone that is approachable to other staff and want to help the staff to be their best.
Train new employees
Continue to grow and expand the customer base
Be able to hang and move large art pieces around
Identify new marketing and sales avenues
Organize in-gallery functions to bring in the public and build excitement around the gallery
Communicate well with your team
Have exemplary customer service and sales skills
Open and close the gallery
Greet and talk to each person that comes into the Gallery
Keep the gallery clean and tidy
Be able to multitask and help multiple customers when working alone
To learn about each story behind the photo, and be able to share these stories with visitors
Be able to read clients and determine their needs to be able to sell to them properly
Be able to use Square POS
Maintain inventory levels
Professional and punctual
Desire to learn more about wildlife and nature
Be able to work well with others, as well as work independently
Requirements:

Previous management experience in a retail or sales environment
Preferably at least 3 years in a management role
Very good communicator, self-motivated, and confident
Has strong leadership qualities
Ability and confidence to deal with a variety of people
Eager and excited to talk to each person that comes in
Responsible and detail oriented
Outgoing and friendly
Patient, a quick thinker, and a good communicator
A love for the outdoors and nature
Available to work flexible hours and holidays. Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday
