Raise your hand if that’s you. The Peaks Hotel & Suites has 71 modern design rooms, conveniently located in the Town of Banff - opened early February 2021. The Peaks Hotel & Suites is the sister property to the Bow View Lodge and the iconic Banff Park Lodge, a fully serviced Resort Hotel and Conference Centre. We are seeking full-time talented Bell Desk Attendant, that can start immediately, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, split shifts, weekends and holidays. The wage will be negotiated based on experience, for 30-40 hours per week. Initial training may take place at our sister properties and pending on staffing levels and hotel occupancies, you may be required to assist at the other properties. Duties include (but are not limited to): · Assist with Front Desk duties such as check-in, check-outs, making guest keys, etc. · Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner · Ensure driveway and entrance are clean and clear of garbage, dirt, snow and ice · Greet guests upon arrival and open doors · Control incoming and out-going traffic · Correctly identify stored bags · Bring baggage up to guests' rooms and retrieve them when requested · Deliver housekeeping items and packages to guest rooms or respective departments · Take and retrieve luggage carts as required · Park cars and retrieve cars as per request with diligence and care · Flexibility to work AM, PM overnight shifts and split shifts when required. · Being knowledgeable of the Hotel, its layout and services · Being knowledgeable of Banff National Park, activities and dining options · Provide a high standard of customer service Ideal Candidate: · Valid Canadian work permit · Reliable and can commit to at least 12 months of employment · Has 1-to-2-year previous hotel experience at the front desk, bellman, concierge, reservations or related experience. · Is a capable multi-tasker with keen attention to detail · Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanour in person and over the telephone · Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests · Frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs · Must have a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license& clean abstract · Has experience working with Microsoft Office Employee Incentives: · Staff accommodation is guaranteed with an immediate check-in; daily rent starting from $6.50 - $17.00 per day · Three salary increases during the first year of employment; term bonus and summer bonus available · Friends and family rates available at all three properties (Peaks Hotel & Suites, Banff Park Lodge & Bow View Lodge), F&B discounts available at The Crave Mountain Grill Restaurant and La Terrazza Dining Room & Lounge. · Health benefits available after 8 months of employment including life insurance, dental, medical and drug coverage · Staff Cafe on site offering meals for $2.37; certain items available free of charge 24/7 · Ski Pass subsidy available, receive a return of up to $350; payroll deduction available · Education reimbursement for English as a Second Language Course · Payroll deduction available for a local gym membership · Monthly staff events hosted by our very own Social Committee · Uniforms supplied and free cleaning available · Living in beautiful Banff National Park!
