As a Host/Hostess with at The Fairmont Banff Springs, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Summary of Responsibilities: 
Reporting to the Host Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:      

- Consistently offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging service
- Monitor table availability at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure buffet accessories are fully stocked
- Maintain floats in order to provide change for both hotel guests and wait staff (Cashier)
- Ensure that all guest checks are properly closed and accounted for (Cashier)
- Ensure all closing procedures are followed for all bills and all reports necessary are completed before concluding shift (Cashier)
- Complete remittance sheet, lock up float and deposit any cash received during shift (Cashier)
- Expedite appetizers, entrées and desserts for à la carte meal periods
- Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
- Previous service experience an asset
- Proserve Certified
- Previous Point of Sale System experience an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
