Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Assistant Director, Conference Services, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service • Maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues and all other departments • Ensure that the equipment and general work area is maintained to a high standard, including desks, filing cabinets and supplies • Conduct follow up preparation of information concerning all catering and conference related functions for hotel staff (preparation and delivery) • Answer direct telephone inquiries or redirect inquiries to proper individuals • Block space for small meetings and small internal function and complete banquet event order's accordingly • Provide information to the public regarding booking conventions or catering functions • Be responsible for ordering stationary supplies for the department • Assist the Director and Managers in the department in producing agendas, handling inquiries and files • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Previous experience is an asset • Experience in an office setting required • Hotel/Hospitality Management program a definite asset • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel • S&C experience an asset • 60 wpm typing speed Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): • Constant sitting and walking • Frequent bending and stretching • Some lifting Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
