Job Description

Perched above the Bow Valley and inspired by the spirit of the Canadian Rockies, Rimrock Banff offers guests a refined mountain experience where every detail is thoughtfully curated. Our restaurants are designed to create memorable moments through exceptional cuisine, genuine hospitality, and a profound connection to place. The culinary program includes distinctive venues inspired by Canadian terroir, social gathering spaces, and elevated dining experiences rooted in seasonality and storytelling.

As Restaurant Manager, you will be an inspiring leader who brings warmth, sophistication, and operational excellence to every guest interaction. You will support the day-to-day operation of our restaurant outlets, mentor a high-performing team, and ensure service standards consistently exceed expectations.

Start Date: July 2026
Contract Type: Fixed Term until October 31, 2026
Pay Rate: $60,000 to $63,000 per year, dependent on experience
Reports To: Restaurant General Manager

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Guest Experience

Support daily front-of-house operations across all services, ensuring smooth flow and consistent execution.
Foster a culture of genuine, personalized hospitality that anticipates guest needs.
Build meaningful relationships with guests and proactively resolve concerns with professionalism and care.
Lead by example on the floor, remaining highly visible during service periods.
Inspire and coach colleagues to consistently deliver elevated luxury experiences.
Operations Management

Ensure seamless communication between Front of House, Culinary, Stewarding, and other hotel departments.
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization.
Monitor staffing levels and operational flow to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Assist with scheduling, labour management, and payroll administration.
Participate in inventory management and cost control initiatives.
Team Development

Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and mentoring of team members.
Conduct regular performance discussions and provide ongoing coaching.
Foster an environment built on respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Recognize and celebrate team successes.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure all Food Safe, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are consistently maintained.
Uphold all company policies and luxury brand standards.
Ensure compliance with Alberta liquor regulations and responsible beverage service practices.

Qualifications

What You Bring

Restaurant leadership experience within a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or resort environment.
A collaborative leadership style and respect for culinary craft.
High attention to detail and pride in thoughtful execution.
ProServe certification required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
Bonus If You Bring

Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
Experience working within luxury or Forbes/Five-Star service environments
Wine, cocktail, or sommelier knowledge is considered an asset.

Physical Demands

Continuous standing and walking throughout service periods.
Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 11lbs (5kg); occasional lifting up to 22lbs (10kg).
Ability to work in a dynamic dining environment with varied pacing and guest interaction.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
