Fairmont Banff Springs is seeking a professional and guest-focused individual to join our Adventure & Experiences team as a Shuttle Host & Interpreter. This unique role offers the opportunity to showcase one of the world’s most iconic destinations while delivering a truly elevated guest experience. Combining storytelling, hospitality, and the outdoors, you will create memorable moments for guests in the heart of Banff National Park while delivering curated scenic transportation experiences to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. As part of a driven and highly engaged team, you will ensure a seamless, high-end journey by welcoming guests, coordinating logistics, and providing engaging interpretation, all while upholding the highest standards of safety, service, and guest engagement. We are seeking someone who aligns with our culture and is deeply committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint.

Starting Rate: $20.58 per hour.

This is a seasonal position starting in July-October 14

Job Duties Include:

Warmly welcome guests onboard the luxury shuttle and set a professional, friendly tone
Verify attendance by checking guests in against the reservation list and ensuring accuracy
Communicate key information about schedules, safety, and the overall experience during transit
Act as the primary point of contact for guests while on the shuttle
Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and comfort throughout the ride
Coordinate with operations staff to ensure smooth departures, arrivals, and guest flow
Maintain a polished, calm, and attentive presence that reflects a premium experience
Deliver engaging, real-time interpretation, including accurate insights on Banff National Park, wildlife safety, geography, and local history
Manage guest timing at each destination to ensure smooth departures and adherence to schedule
Assist guests with loading and unloading personal belongings as needed
Communicate guest numbers, timing, and operational updates with the Adventure & Experiences leadership team
Carry out all other tasks as assigned by the Adventure & Experiences Manager or Executive Team
Your Skills & Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English and at least one additional language (depending on guest needs)
Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or guest services preferred
Ability to manage guest lists and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Professional demeanor with a strong focus on customer service
Comfortable speaking in front of groups and providing clear instructions
Previous passenger transportation or hospitality driving experience considered an asset
Current Standard First Aid with CPR C or higher required
Strong knowledge of Banff National Park and surrounding attractions preferred
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions
Professional, calm, and confident communication style when interacting with guests and colleagues
Positive, outgoing, and professional attitude with a passion for Banff National Park and the Town of Banff
Ability to work split shifts including morning and afternoon scenic departures
Comfortable working outdoors in mountain weather conditions
Comfortable using digital tools and technology to manage guest lists and real-time updates
Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods
