Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Café Supervisor to help oversee daily operations in a fast-paced Café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, previous Café and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service at the highest level. As a Café Supervisor, you will be responsible for aiding the manager and overseeing staff, ensuring all café standards are met and adhered to, and maintaining an efficient service to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily café operations, including food and drink preparation, POS/cash handling procedures and following/enforcing all standards set by the café Manager.
Enforce coffee/food safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to proper food industry practices
Manage team members through effective supervision, training and guidance.
Handle cash transactions accurately using Clover POS, and ensuring daily cash-out procedures are being done correctly.
Ensure high-quality customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Assist with training new staff members in all aspects of the job (coffee, food, POS, etc..)
Lead by example in hospitality, ensuring a positive experience for all guests
Support staff with any other daily tasks set by the Café Manager
Requirements

Previous barista experience – 1+ year preferred. Experience will be prioritized
Previous supervising experience in café/bar/food service roles, or Café/restaurant management roles
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, techniques, theory and food and beverage safety standards
Experience with Clover POS or similar cash handling systems, plus cash-out procedures
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff
Background in restaurant experience, including kitchen operations and food handling, is an asset, but not required
Familiarity with the hospitality industry
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleanliness standards
This position offers an exciting opportunity to help lead a vibrant café environment while ensuring operational excellence and guest satisfaction. Staff housing is unfortunately not available at this time.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
