Job Summary

We’re are a Canmore-based company looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide/Driver based in Canmore, Banff, Dead Man's Flat or Harvie Heights to join our team for the summer season, with the opportunity to transition into winter season. If you have a passion for sharing your love of Banff, Jasper, Yoho, and Kootenay National Parks, and creating unforgettable experiences, this role is perfect for you! As a Tour Guide, you’ll lead groups on exciting journeys, ensuring every guest has a memorable time. A key part of this role is also driving transfers, so we require exceptional and safe driving skills.

Duties

Lead guided tours for individuals and groups, sharing interesting insights about the locations visited.
Adapt your presentation style to engage with diverse audiences.
Drive guests safely and comfortably during transfers, maintaining excellent driving standards at all times.
Manage time effectively to keep tours and transfers running smoothly while allowing for guest interaction.
Answer guest questions and offer additional information as needed.
Keep a positive, engaging attitude to enhance the guest experience.
Ensure the safety and comfort of all participants throughout the tour and transfer.
Collaborate with fellow team members to improve tour content and delivery.
Requirements

Applicants must reside in Canmore, Banff, Dead Man's Flat or Harvie Heights.
Exceptional and safe driving skills, with a focus on ensuring passenger safety during transfers and tours
Alberta class 4 commercial driver's license
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Excellent public speaking skills to engage and captivate audiences.
Natural leadership abilities to confidently guide groups and manage dynamics.
Good time management to stay on schedule, while being flexible when needed.
Ability to communicate information clearly and in an engaging way.
Previous experience with guiding is preferred but not required; we provide training.
