Full job description
Join our team and enjoy a summer bonus – from May 19, 2024, to October 19, 2024, employees will receive an extra dollar ($1.00) per hour for every hour worked during this period.

Our staff accommodation has everything you need and is extremely affordable, one of the cheapest in town, fully furnished with all utilities included. We have a fleet of mountain bikes and all the camping equipment you need to get out and explore even more. You’ll have access to our staff vehicle to access remote trailheads and you’ll get to stay for free at any of our 13 properties in the Canadian Rockies. A trip to Jasper, a getaway in Kananaskis, a city trip to Calgary, we’ve got you and your friends covered, all the way to Whistler B.C.

What you will be doing as a Housekeeper

This job is more than a housekeeping cart and a list of rooms to clean; it’s about being part of a team.

A team that will sweat together, support each other, and work communally to ensure our hostel is clean and welcoming for our guests.

You will either start early and have the afternoon off or start late and have the morning off. Shifts will be on a rotation, so everyone gets to enjoy the outdoors equally. And when possible, we’ll even line up your morning shift with the start of your weekend and your afternoon shift with the start of your work week for some extra YOU time.

You’ll also be able to enjoy the fact that you’re part of a not-for-profit organization that embraces sustainable tourism and values a healthy work-life balance.

And there’s room for growth and professional development. Want to learn about leadership, risk management, service recovery? No problem, we are always keen to help people acquire valuable skills and give them the opportunity to put them in practice.


What we look for

You’ll need to be in a state of fitness that allows you to spend 6-7 hours on your feet every day.

You’ll need to enjoy working as part of a team and bringing your positive energy and humour to work every day. Forget about employee of the month, we reward the most FUN employee.

You’ll need to take pride in whatever you do. Our Housekeeping department has one of the most important tasks in our hostel, and we need teammates who understand that, and are keen to be part of delivering a great experience to our guests every day.Your attention to details will be the foundation of all this.

Our ideal start date for this position would be the 1st of April, however we are happy to be flexible for the right candidate.
