As a member of the Streets department, you “Take Care of Banff” by ensuring the tasks and maintenance of our streets keeps them clear and in a safe condition, particularly during the winter months. Your resilience is demonstrated in your ability to work and concentrate in darkness and extreme winter temperatures and weather conditions while safely operating a variety of equipment.

This position will provide you with opportunities in the operation of equipment, tools, and vehicles, requiring you to apply knowledge, judgement, and experience. You possess qualities of observation and action, using your experiences in workplace safety and cleanliness to evaluate, report and resolve issues and maintain high standards.

You are able to meet the physical demands of this position, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, safely climbing into and out of the cab of large vehicles, working in extreme winter temperatures and weather conditions. You can provide a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and clear and current Driver’s Abstract upon hire. 3-5 years of experience operating equipment and a class 3 drivers license will be considered an asset.

The wage range for this position will be $30.48 - $38.10 per hour.
