What can you expect?

Cooks work to prepare consistent, high-quality food in a specified outlet at the Resort. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of food service, presentation, and quality are met. The Cook works under the supervision of the Sous Chef and Resort Chefs, or designates, and closely with all culinary and warehousing departments at Sunshine.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods.
Oversee kitchen operations.
Set up, cleaning, and organization of work areas.
Ensuring that all food service standards, health and safety regulations, and quality controls are followed consistently and thoroughly.
Able to be hands on in food preparation and serving, when needed.
Assisting with the training of kitchen staff, including completing documentation.
May assist with menu planning, food portions, estimates of requirements and costs.
Assisting with monitoring and ordering supplies.
Requirements:
Experience as a cook in a fast-paced food service.
Valid food safe certificate or equivalent preferred.
Strong communication & organization skills.
Outgoing, positive, friendly attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Calm under pressure and patient, able to exercise good decision making.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays)
Must be punctual, and dependable.
