What can you expect?

Gondola/Lift Operators are in a highly visible role and provide an outstanding experience for guests via the safe and efficient operation of the Gondola and Standish Express lift. Operators are focused on guest safety, efficiency and being approachable and courteous towards all guests. Gondola/Lift Operators report to the Gondola Operations Supervisor and Assistant, and under the guidance of forepersons and maintenance. They liaise frequently with maintenance departments, warehouse, and other resort departments.

Key Responsibilities:
The primary function of this job is the constant monitoring of guests and designated lift systems. Engaging in and assessing guest needs and expectations as required while adhering to operating procedures e.g., loading/unloading passengers and freight, start up and shut down operations, maintaining areas, starting, slowing, stopping lift systems, ticket checking, emergency procedures.
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities:
Completing documentation e.g., daily checks and logs, training reports.
Communicating unusual operating conditions e.g., mechanical, operational, environmental.
Adhering to company initiatives, policies, relevant legislation, and manufacturer information.
Timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and deficiencies to appropriate departments/personnel.
Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Positive, mature, and friendly attitude.
Calm under pressure and patient.
Work in a confidential capacity.
Prepared to work flexible schedules e.g., weekends, holidays, nights, extended hours.
Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions e.g., appropriate footwear, layers, gloves.
Maintain professional conduct when in uniform, on or off-duty, including online.
Effectively provide support and assistance to coworkers and assist in training of new team members.
Attend and actively participate in meetings and training.
