What can you expect?

Baristas provide an outstanding experience for our guests. They are responsible for preparing and delivering quality products in a friendly and efficient manner that satisfies the needs and expectations of our guests. Baristas work under the supervision of the F&B Supervisor and Manager, or designate, and closely with all culinary and distribution departments at Sunshine.

This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:

Providing excellent guest service.
Operating the POS system to ring through the guests’ orders.
Handling cash
Preparing and serving drinks efficiently in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
Maintaining inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, etc.
Keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Accepting payment transactions and complete accurate daily cash-outs.
Maintaining public spaces, including stocking supplies, cleaning, garbage removal, and Washrooms.
Ability to answer guest queries about the mountain and operations in a friendly and efficient manner.
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities
Timely and accurate incident and deficiencies reporting.
Completing all training documentation.
May assist with ordering supplies and monitoring inventory.
Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.

And you have:
Passion for providing outstanding guest service.
Previous Barista experience is an asset.
Ability to accurately manage a cash float.
Energetic and self-motivated
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Communicate effective in English, both written and verbally.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays, early starts)
Maintain professional conduct when in uniform, on or off-duty, and online.
Effective provide support and assistance to coworkers.
Must be neat, punctual, and dependable.
WHMIS training an asset.
Successful completion of Proserve alcohol serving certificate is required prior to commencement.
Additional Considerations:
Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This position works at high altitude and at times, in inclement weather. Prolonged periods of standing, repetitive motions, bending and twisting is required.
Some required uniform pieces are provided.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook and Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
