SkiBig3 is currently recruiting for the full-time, year-round position of Adventure Hub Assistant Manager (Guest Services) to join our team in the Fall of 2024. Reporting to the Adventure Hub Manager, the person in this position will focus on providing overall support for the Adventure Hub Manager operating our two Hub locations. The SkiBig3 Adventure Hubs provide a central distribution point for the fulfillment of rentals, pass products and lift tickets, and they are a one stop shop for destination merchandise and accessories. This role’s focus within the department will be overseeing the guest services systems and processes – ensuring that the team can assist guests in fulfilling ticket and pass product purchases, as well as our retail offerings.

Organizational Relationships:

All SkiBig3 Departments, Banff Sunshine/Lake Louise Ski Resort/Mt Norquay rentals and

guest services departments.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Lead a team to provide outstanding customer service in a busy retail/rental setting
Oversee all store operations, including: ski and snowboard rentals, retail sales, ski pass and ticket processing, as well as activity bookings
Ensure store cleanliness
Point of contact for resort guest service teams, while staying up to date with resort policies and products
Lead team to retail sales goals and work with Buyer and Merchandiser to develop incentive programs.
Ensure a positive experience instore for guests including addressing concerns and escalating as necessary
Oversees staffing and scheduling between two locations, and coordinating with Reservations Manager for split guest services staff.
Lead Guest Services procedures training and conduct regular reviews to ensure consistency of knowledge
Deal with warranties related to key brand products
Delegate tasks and coordinate staff to ensure maximum productivity
Receiving retail shipments, working with buyer to ensure stock is organized
Ensure daily stock levels are maintained on the retail floor
Assist Buyer and Merchandiser by actioning floor plans and implementing displays to support promotional and seasonal strategies
Troubleshoot IT and Guest services system issues as needed
Understand and communicate fraudulent pass usage policies and enforcement
Ensure that payroll system is updated with schedules and review staff entries
Assist in seasonal flip for Banff location and open/closure of Canmore location
Skills & Experience required:

Organized, efficient, responsible and mature
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Possess a minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role, ideally in the ski and snowboard industry
Experience with different POS systems and ability to troubleshoot IT issues
Providing exceptional customer service and resolving problems efficiently
Avid snow sport enthusiast who is familiar with the SkiBig3 resorts and mountain conditions
Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing work environments.
Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment and ability to adjust and repair skis, boards, bindings and boots.
Knowledge of payroll & staff scheduling
Ability to work at both Banff and Canmore Locations as needed.
Alberta Driver’s license with a 3-year “clean” driving record considered an asset
