The Ideal Candidate:
Proven Maintenance Management and/or supervisory experience
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Capability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
Exceptional attention to detail and time management
Pool Operator's Certificate and a background in electrical and/or plumbing (preferred)
Experience and knowledge working with HVAC systems
Task-oriented and results-driven
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the General Manager to set and achieve departmental goals
Participate in preparing the Maintenance Operating and Capital budgets
Monitor and update departmental health & safety programs, policies, and practices
Ensure a safe work environment and a commitment to safety among colleagues
Interact effectively with all hotel departments to enhance guest experiences by promptly resolving maintenance issues
Lead, motivate, and train maintenance personnel through personal example and a commitment to high performance and job satisfaction
Organize, implement, and track maintenance projects for guestrooms and public areas
Assist with scheduling and payroll for the Maintenance Department
Perform general operational and preventative maintenance on systems, including boilers, HVAC, and pool facilities
Maintain hotel guest rooms and public areas through routine maintenance and repairs
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances
Ensure the safety and upkeep of guest areas, including snow and ice removal
Maintain pool integrity by ensuring safe chemical balances through frequent testing
