It's the perfect work/life combination. Job Description As a Floor Support Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations to ensure an organized and efficient workflow. This shift-based role will align with operational requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining all backspaces, guest corridors, and closet areas, as well as managing the Floor Support, Linen Sorting, and Glass Runner Teams. Ensuring all areas are stocked and well-maintained is crucial. Your role is integral to the success of the Housekeeping Department's daily operations. Job Duties Include: Reporting to the Housekeeping Office Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the backspaces. This will include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, trash and recycling removal, stocking and organizing. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the guest corridors. This will include but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, polishing, damp dusting, elevator track cleaning, brass polishing, trash removal & carpet stain treatment Collaborate with Stewarding Leadership Team to ensure proper waste and recycling disposal, which will include the broken equipment and items for industrial disposal Responsible for stocking linens and guest supplies in appropriate places and to appropriate par levels. Responsible for stripping rooms, dirty linen removal, trash removal as directed Conduct weekly audits & inspection of all backspaces, closets and corridors to ensure a clean and well-maintained area Responsible for completing all paperwork as directed Monthly Linen count to be completed and communicated to Canmore Regional Laundry Responsible for the adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to the Housekeeping department Expected to adhere to all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards that relate to Hygiene and Grooming, Health and Safety, Fire, Accommodations, Guestroom Standards, Guest Interactions, Lost and Found and radio protocol Responsible for reporting all Maintenance Concerns as seen and alerting these to the Floor Supervisors or Housekeeping Manager, and ensure to add the tickets appropriately to have these issues resolved Work with the Purchasing Manager to ensure that all orders are stored appropriately and pallets are cleared from S-Level Monitor and assisting the Glass Running Team, by ensuring that all of the backspaces are stocked with guest supplies Physically fit and able to push large heavy bins up to max: 500lbs and 100lb pushing pressure Comply with all department policies, procedures, and service standards Continue to work on colleague motivation and incentives to foster a positive work environment Follow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiatives Continuously look for and present initiatives to improve operational efficiency, financial performance, corporate social responsibility and colleague satisfaction Work with ‘Clean the World’ on the Guest Supply recycling program Other duties as assigned Qualifications Your Skills & Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience in a similar environment will be an asset, with a proven ability to provide professional, friendly and engaging service Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate colleagues Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications required Previous experience in a training or supervisory role preferred Degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration preferred Understanding of basic accounting principles, cash reconciliation and use of the POS systems Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to solve problems Detail oriented, organized and focused on quality Highly responsible and reliable, demonstrating initiative as required Proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, team-based environment Working knowledge of Birch Street or similar purchasing system will be an asset Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including: Constant standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Additional Information Job Perks & Benefits: Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status employees One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $4/meal) Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision & Dental) including extended benefits like; Mental Health, Orthodontics, Fertility Drugs and Gender Affirmation for full time permanent status employees Defined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full time permanent status employees Employee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties world-wide Access to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program – exclusive room rates for colleagues, which includes 50% off all food & beverage when staying at Fairmont Resorts in Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler Discounts while using our resort’s Food & Beverage Outlets, Fitness Centre, Spa and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Courses Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
