Full job description
Description: Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Worker I conducts a variety of basic maintenance repairs and performs a variety of general cleaning and grounds keeping duties. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Working alongside other maintenance workers in a computerized maintenance environment, including operating and maintaining a variety of grounds keeping and building maintenance equipment and tools. Outdoor grounds equipment experience, such as tractors and snow blowers will be considered. Must be physically able to stand for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Any additional skills such as basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry will also be considered an asset.
