JOB DESCRIPTION - F&B SUPERVISOR

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is in a visible role, overseeing the day-to-day operations. This role focuses on leadership, planning, and ensuring the highest standards of food service are met. The Food and Beverage Supervisor works under the supervision of a Food and Beverage Manager, or designate, and closely with all culinary, warehousing, and operations departments.

Job Functions

Oversight of the assigned outlet, including:
Supervising the day-to-day front of house operations
Ensuring that all food service standards, health and safety regulations, and quality requirements are followed consistently and thoroughly
Able to be hands on in food serving, when needed
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities

Timely and accurate incident and deficiencies reporting.
Supervising the scheduling, training and ongoing development of employees.
Resolving issues and responding to guest feedback, with F&B management
Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Supervisor experience in a fast-paced food service, culinary, or related professional area
ProServ required, ServSafe training an asset, Health & Safety Certification and WHMIS an asset
Good computer knowledge (MS WORD and Excel), company HRIS systems
Strong communication & supervisory skills
Outgoing, positive, friendly attitude.
Calm under pressure and patient, able to exercise good decision making.
Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays)
Maintain professional conduct when in uniform, on or off-duty, and online.
Effectively provide training, support, and assistance to coworkers.
Attend and actively participate in meetings and training.
Must be neat, punctual, and dependable.
Strong analytical abilities
Additional Considerations

Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This position handles cash, and confidential information. An appropriate level of professionalism and discretion is required.
This position works at high altitude and at times, in inclement weather. An appropriate level of physical fitness is required.
Some required uniform pieces are provided.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook and Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
