Job Description

Based out of the Rimrock Resort Hotel, and Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Be an effective team player within the Sales team of Canada’s Western Mountain Collection and with operations team members within the hotels and the region
Provide support to Tour & Leisure Sales Directors/Managers particularly in relation to coordination of wholesale tour and adhoc space requests and the contracting process.
Provide support to Tour Sales Directors/Managers with proposal management (checking space and rates for adhoc groups and ski clubs).
Provide support to Tour & Leisure Sales Directors/Managers with Familiarization tours across region
Maintain tour account tracking and reporting systems as required by individual Sales Managers
Inbox Management (OOO for Managers/Directors while on vacation or business travel)
Maintain Regional Group lead inbox. This will involve sending inquires to both Group and Tour Sales Managers/Coordinators.
Coordinating and supporting all aspects of sales activities including taking initial inquiries, generating leads, proposals, referrals and contracts, blocking space etc.
Process proposals and contracts as required
Maintain deployment contact lists for Regional Sales Team.
Coordinate specific marketing initiatives involving Revenue Streams
Actively seek opportunities to improve systems and procedures
Assist in organizing meetings/client events including agenda creation, meeting minutes, communicating with vendors, sellers and providing presentation reports as necessary.
Attend all Sales meetings and other meetings as required
After appropriate training and development, participate in site inspections, familiarization tours, trade shows and functions within the hotel, as required, and in the absence of the Sales Manager.
Actively participate in industry and hotel training programs
Willing to manage additional responsibilities and duties as required
Participate in at least one hotel committee (e.g. Health & Safety Committee)
Possess and share knowledge of Rimrock Resort Hotel, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Fairmont Chateau Whistler products including accommodation, meeting facilities, history and heritage, activities and local programming
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of Excel for reporting, tracking and various projects
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Windows
Knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering / Opera Sales Force Automation and Property Manager are assets
Highly detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
One year experience in hotel environment preferred (ideally in Sales, Reservations, Conference Services or Front Office)
Background in accounting or finance is an asset
Excellent communication skills and English; second foreign language an asset
Articulate, self-motivated, energetic and positive team-player
Confident, well-groomed, pleasant telephone and personal disposition
Able to multi-task and work under deadlines
Knowledge of Rimrock Resort Hotel, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Fairmont Chateau Whistler, heritage, facilities and programs are a definite asset
Desire to learn and advance within the Sales and Marketing team/division
Enjoys challenges, works well under time pressure, thinks ahead and is extremely committed to the job
Graduate of Hospitality Degree / Diploma program a definite asset
