Ticket Seller (Casual)

The Opportunity

Audience Services at Banff Centre is looking for casual Ticket Sellers to work in the Box Office and support the team in providing exceptional customer service to our patrons, guests, visitors, and participants.

Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Supervisor, Audience Sales and Services, below are some key accountabilities:

Being knowledgeable about specific details of all events, as well as Box Office practices and procedures.
Assisting the Supervisor, Audience Sales and Services with event management, which includes special/complimentary ticket requests.
Utilizing a computerized ticketing system for daily ticketing and sales reports.
Executing accurate in-person sales, mail orders, phone orders, online orders, group and series sales, and adhering to procedures for reservations, exchanges and refunds, and the complimentary ticket policy for each event.
Ensuring accurate and timely information flow to the public.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Front line customer service experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience working in a computerized office environment
Strong attention to detail
Customer-centric approach
Strong listening skills and a clear and effective communicator
Ability to problem solve responsibility and within the guidelines and policies of the department
Ability to calmly and tactfully provide service within tight timelines and to patrons who may be demanding or uncooperative
Special Requirements
Due to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible, irregular schedule and weekends.
Employment Terms and Benefits
In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized, casual support staff position, working up to 35 hours per month on an on-call basis.
This position pays $16.64 per hour.
To be considered, you must live in the Bow Valley. This position is not eligible for staff housing.
