Description
The Gondola Maintenance Assistant Supervisor is in a highly visible role and assists in maintaining a high-functioning work environment, providing an outstanding experience via the safe, efficient, dependable operation and maintenance of the gondola. The Assistant Supervisor is focused on safety, efficiency, productivity, and being approachable and courteous, liaising frequently with maintenance personnel, vendors and manufacturers.
Job Functions
Assisting with overseeing the work and actions of employees of the Gondola Maintenance and Operations departments in conjunction with or absence of the Supervisor. Maintaining and contributing to a safe and efficient worksite e.g., planning, scheduling, operating, cleaning. Attention to detail in critical aspects of maintenance is required e.g., preventive, corrective, operational.
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities: documentation, staff management, communication, policy adherence, worksite inspections, incident reporting.

Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.
Experience/Requirements
Proven ability to lead a team, be self-motivated, possess good time management skills.
Mechanically inclined and own basic set of tools appropriate for the position.
Must be positive, mature, and friendly attitude along with being neat, alert, punctual and dependable.
Willing/able to perform all duties or departmental tasks.
Prepared to work flexible schedules e.g., weekends, holidays, nights, extended hours.
Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions e.g., appropriate footwear, layers, gloves.
Calm under pressure and patient.
Effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally and in a confidential capacity.
Maintain professional conduct when acting as a company representative on or off duty.
Effectively provide training, support, and assistance to coworkers.
Assist in conducting, attend, chaperone, and actively participate in meetings, training, and team events.
Computer skills an asset - experience with Microsoft suite of programs and online payroll/HRIS systems.
