Banff Park Lodge - Banff, AB $15.00 - $15.75 an hour - Full-time, Permanent Conveniently located in the Town of Banff, just steps away from the glacier-fed Bow River, Banff Park Lodge is a full-service Resort Hotel and Conference Centre. Here we experience the best of both worlds: the peace and solitude of a quiet location, yet quick access to a livelier scene in downtown Banff. The Banff Park Lodge has two sister properties; the Bow View Lodge and Peaks Hotel & Suites. We are currently seeking a full-time permanent La Terrazza Server, required to work afternoon shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime hours. We are aiming for a start date mid-late June. Duties Include (but are not limited to): Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to provide memorable dining experiences, exceeding our guests’ expectations To have full knowledge of all food and beverage menus in the La Terrazza Lounge & Dining Room and all other special promotions in the hotel Serve, clear and re-set tables in a timely manner and assist with in room dining orders Maintain a clean and well stocked environment for our guests Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally Operate all equipment used in La Terrazza in a safe and proper manner Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage Demonstrate a complete understanding of the restaurant policies, procedures and service standards Be familiar with and actively participate in emergency, safety and security procedures Ensure effective working relationships and clear communication with all colleagues and leaders in the restaurant and other departments Utilize the environmental mission statement as a guideline for all operations Follow hotel's telephone etiquette standards Constant walking and standing throughout shift; occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs; frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling Other duties as assigned Ideal Candidate: Previous Fine Dining Food & Beverage experience is an asset Working knowledge of Point of Sale System preferred Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a charismatic team player Proficient in the English language, second language is an asset Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Must be flexible in terms of working hours Employee Incentives: Staff accommodation is guaranteed with an immediate check-in; daily rent starting from $6.50 - $17.00 per day Three salary increases during first year of employment; term bonus available Friends and family rates available at all three properties, F&B discounts available at The Crave Mountain Grill Restaurant and La Terrazza Dining Room & Lounge Health benefits available after 8 months of employment including life insurance, dental, medical and drug coverage Staff Cafeteria on site offering meals for $2.37; certain items available free of charge 24/7 Ski Pass subsidy available, receive a return of up to $350; payroll deduction available Education reimbursement for English as a Second Language Course Payroll deduction available for a local gym membership Uniforms supplied and free cleaning available Living in beautiful Banff National Park!
