The Post Hotel & Spa is a Relais and Chateaux property chosen by Travel and Leisure Magazine 2019 as one of the top ten resorts in Canada! We are located in Lake Louise, Alberta in the heart of the world famous Banff National Park.

Job Description:

Serve food and beverage items.
Consult guests with wine choices.
Set up all function rooms prior to guest arrival.
Clear tables and return equipment to their respective areas.
Gather all equipment necessary to service a function and maintain a clear and immaculate service corridor.
Move any tables and chairs as assigned.
Inform supervisor of any problems or complaints.
Proper handling of all equipment, i.e. Props, glassware etc. ensuring proper storage after use.
Expectations:

Must possess outstanding, pro-active guest service skills, a professional presentation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, enthusiastic, and have a sales-oriented personality.
Work well under pressure and as part of a professional team.
Previous food and beverage experience in a high-volume establishment.
Must possess strong food, beverage and wine knowledge.
A good physical condition, as this position requires constant walking, standing, bending and lifting.
Skills requirements:

Education: Formal food and beverage training; Extensive knowledge in Wine Sales

Work experience: 1 to 3 years of practical experience in formal dining room environment

Important:

Due to our location in Banff National Park, the Post Hotel provides all employees with staff housing. For this reason, we are unable to accommodate potential candidates who have families with children.

Terms of employment: Permanent/Full Time

Wage: $15.00/hour + gratuities (high wine sales)

Staff Accommodation Available: Single, private rooms $550/month or Shared (2 people per room) $375 per month.

Expected Start Date: 2021-06-14
