The Banff Park Lodge has two sister properties: The Bow View Lodge and Peaks Hotel & Suites.

Banff Park Lodge Collection of Hotels are currently seeking one full-time, permanent Guest Services Attendant, required to workday shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. The wage will be negotiated based on experience for 30-40 hours per week.

We are looking for an excellent team player to join our Front Office team.

As a Guest Service agent/Concierge, you will be an important member of the Front Office team that creates a warm arrival experience for the guests while exceeding their expectations. You will act as a guide to help guests rediscover the beauty of the Canadian Rockies through the endless list of activities. You will be responding to guest’s requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers. You will always ensure that an up-to-date selection of booklets, guides, maps and brochures of local attractions are available. You will provide personal recommendations and make reservations for dining options. You will also arrange taxis and the bookings of travel, entertainment and tour arrangements for the guests. You will be assisting guests to book tours and excursions and so much more. Apart from your regular duties, you will support the Front Desk team in the lobby and ensure that the lobby is well taken care of and kept clean.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

· Help coordinate and execute guest requests and help make their experience memorable

· Provide outstanding personalized service that meets and exceeds guest expectations

· Connect with guests face-to-face to provide an outstanding level of guest service

· Understand the guest’s needs and provide them with personalized, thoughtful solutions by suggesting activities, facilities and amenities available in Banff National Park

· Build an extensive knowledge of the surrounding area. Including local area, shops, attractions, transportation options

· Work collaboratively with other Lodge staff as needed

· Warmly greet and welcome guests on the driveway and in the lobby

· Control in-coming and out-going traffic

· Bring baggage up to guest rooms and retrieve them when requested

· Deliver packages to guest rooms or respective departments

· Take and retrieve luggage carts as required

· Park cars and retrieve cars as per request with diligence and care

· Work scheduled overnight shifts as required

· Being knowledgeable of the Hotel, all its outlets, its layout and services

· Ensure driveway and entrance are clean and clear of garbage, dirt, snow and ice

· Assist with Front Desk duties such as check-in, check-outs, making guest keys, etc.

· Coordinate amenity orders and maintain inventories Assists with guest arrivals/departures

· Maintain clean and safe working environment

· Be completely familiar with Hotel Fire and Safety Regulations and Emergency Procedures

Ideal Candidate:

· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

· Reliable and can commit to at least 12 months of employment

· Has 1-to-2-year previous hotel experience at the front desk, bellman, concierge, reservations or related experience.

· Is a capable multi-tasker with keen attention to detail

· Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanour in person and over the telephone

· Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests

· Frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs

· Must have a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license& clean abstract
