DETAILS:

Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants
Starting wage $15.25 an hour - $16.75 an hour after 90 day probation
$2/hr summer incentive bonus (conditions apply)
JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Outlet Manager, servers are responsible for making drinks (barista/bartender), taking orders, and delivering orders whilst ensuring guest satisfaction through exceptional customer service. Provide a welcoming and friendly environment for our guests, and answer any guest enquiries in a prompt manner. This position will be primarily in the evenings, with occasional support for banquets, functions and events.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet guests upon arrival in a timely manner
Ensure that all set-ups are correct and complete
Ensure buffet is stocked and clean at all times where applicable
Explain the menu specials and offer suggestions that complement the guest’s choice
Maintain a professional and pleasant appearance at all times
Deliver beverages and food in a timely manner
Promptly clear and clean tables in a timely manner
Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction
Refill beverages throughout the meal
Ensure proper disposal of garbage and recycling
Assist with training new team members in order to maintain the desired level of service that is in line with the hotel’s service standards
Ensure cash handling procedures are followed at all times
Ensure that the restaurant is maintained, clean, safe and secure
Ensure the Guest Service Standards, Hotel Policies and Procedures are maintained at all times
Complete daily and weekly checklists
Deliver guest’s bill and take payment
Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times
Other related duties as assigned by the Outlet Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous food and beverage industry experience preferred
ProServe Certificate required
Energetic, hands-on, with initiative and integrity
Excellent customer service skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Work well under pressure, without supervision, independently and as a member of a team
Able to perform well in a fast-paced work environment
Good communication skills
Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages and mixology
Ability to lift heavy trays filled with glassware/food up to 30lbs
Basic math skills
