Job Description

Are you energized by fast-paced days, spontaneous challenges, and unforgettable guest experiences? If you're ready to take the next step in your hospitality career, our Event Operations team is looking for a passionate and hands-on leader to join us as Event Operations Manager – Beverage.

In this dynamic role, you'll lead the planning and execution of all event beverage operations, ensuring smooth service for functions of up to 1,500 guests. You’ll be on the floor supporting your team, building strong client relationships, and delivering seamless, high-quality service that reflects our commitment to excellence.

Salary: $70,000 - $73,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Event Operations responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Oversee the planning, setup, and execution of all event beverage services across 78,000+ sq. ft. of function space, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Recruit, coach, and manage over 100 event service colleagues while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events, addressing concerns and ensuring their vision is brought to life.

Uphold and improve beverage standards, SOPs, and ProServe compliance while driving efficiency, reducing waste, and maintaining SAQ standards.

Work closely with chefs, outlet managers, and coordinators to ensure seamless communication and delivery across all functions.

Conduct liquor and service training for colleagues, support sustainable practices through Planet 21 initiatives, and ensure adherence to safety and service guidelines.

Lead bar revamps, ensure accurate function documentation, and conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve any service gaps.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Event Operations or Food & Beverage leadership within a medium to large-scale luxury hotel or venue

Strong knowledge of beverage operations, including inventory management, ProServe compliance, and current trends in mixology and bar service

Proven leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Opera, Silverware, or similar systems considered an asset

Commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences and upholding safety, service, and sustainability standards
