The Opportunity:

We're in search of an exceptional individual to assume the challenging role of Legal Assistant, supporting a thriving practice in Banff, Alberta. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in an office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize Microsoft Office Suite proficiently to draft, format, and edit documents and presentations.
Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel efficiently and courteously.
Greet clients professionally and direct them as necessary.
Process and receipt payments accurately.
Conduct conflict of interest searches to ensure compliance.
Open and close client files following firm procedures.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely distribution.
Perform additional duties as required to support the legal team and office operations.
Prepare, transcribe, and organize general correspondence and legal documents across various practice areas with accuracy and attention to detail.
Manage and maintain legal and administrative files, ensuring proper indexing and tracking.
Receive, sort, and prioritize files and maintain an up-to-date calendar to ensure timely responses and deadlines are met.
Qualifications:

Impeccable attention to detail, consistently delivering high-quality work with precision.
Proficiency in advanced computer skills, coupled with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Self-reliance and confidence in working independently.
Aptitude for critical thinking to assess the strengths and weaknesses of potential solutions and approaches to issues.
Clear and effective communication, both in written and verbal forms.
Professional demeanor, including adept management of client inquiries, collaboration with colleagues, lawyers, external clients, and outside service providers.
Experience with Cosmolex and NetDocs is a plus
Compensation & Working Hours:

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Regular full-time position with working hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM subject to change from time to time. We provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, prescription drug, life insurance, critical illness, long term disability, vacation and sick time benefits.
