Job Description

The Fairmont Spa Banff Springs is at the forefront of the spa industry, offering first-class pampering surrounded by majestic mountain beauty. Our breathtaking Spa is 42,000 square feet and is rated the best spa in Canada according to Spa Magazines readers.

The Treatment Manager is responsible for providing daily leadership of the treatment operations focusing on the consistent delivery of luxury treatments and service excellence. The Treatment Manager will ensure that all revenue opportunities, in keeping with the positioning of Fairmont Spa, will be capitalized upon and all productivity and expense controls are followed.

Competitive Salary: $70,000 - $72,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Spa Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Hires, trains, schedules, and manages spa colleagues, including performance reviews, recognition, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Oversees daily spa operations to ensure cost-effective service, efficient therapist utilization, and facility cleanliness and maintenance.
Leads by example in resolving guest concerns and maintaining high standards of professional service.
Manages payroll, commissions, retail goals, incentives, inventory control, and purchasing of products and equipment.
Sets departmental goals, leads communication meetings, enhances treatment protocols, and stays informed on competitor offerings.
Physical Demands:

Lifting - Under 20lbs
Pushing - 35lbs pressure through wrists 80% of work time.
Motions - Bending, standing, reaching, and working with hands, arms, and fingers continuously throughout workday.
Sitting – 20% of work time.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience in a spa or hospitality setting
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Aesthetician, Massage Therapist, or Body Technician
Recognized certificate in Massage Therapy (2,200 hours is an asset)
Proven experience in conflict resolution and issue management
Proficient in written and verbal communication
Demonstrated skills in coaching, training, and time management
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in high-pressure environments
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
