Job Description
Coordinate all operations of the Reservations & Central Services Department including recruitment, scheduling, training and employee development.
Collect and analyze data to enhance department and hotel service opportunities.
Schedule and prepare monthly service analytics meeting with GM, DOO, DOR.
Ensure timely communication with other departments, individual guests and travel partners.
Hotel liaison between reservations, our Global Reservation Center and Regional Sales & Revenue Team.
Monitor & address inventory variances, managing issues when they arise.
Handle all guest requests promptly and efficiently Provide information on hotel and resort services.
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service while closely monitoring efficiency and productivity.
Lead and manage all aspects of the Reservations & Central Services department and ensure all service standards are followed.
Have an excellent working knowledge of the following departments: Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Concierge, Engineering, Spa and In Room Dining.
Responsible for establishing individual and team objectives in accordance with revenue/reservation/hotel goals.
Attend and participate in Front Office communication meetings, Revmax, leadership, and Sales meetings as requested.
Works closely with both the Revenue Management and Sales Team in order to maximize revenues.
Produce daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required.
Participate in package development and implementation.
Build and update rates and packages in Hotel systems as requested by Revenue team.
Conduct regular audits of Hotel systems and advertising tools ensuring accuracy of rates, package information and availability.
Working towards improving and maintaining Voice of Guest, LQA and brand standards
Lead the VIP program for the hotel.
Upon execution of, champion the loyalty program and implementation.
Responsible to ensure that the Reservation Department’s Colleague Engagement Survey goals are met and exceeded.
Problem solving and coaching staff in situations to ensure that guest expectations are met.
Ensure budget is adhered to relating to the areas of payroll, AV and office supplies.
Departmental payroll administration.
Full knowledge and ability to promote internal outlets
Full working knowledge of the hotel’s emergency procedures

Qualifications
Strong leadership, team and communication skills are essential.
Minimum 5 years of previous Front Office and/or reservations experience.
Excellent knowledge of Opera PMS.
Previous experience with iDeaS Revenue Management System an asset.
Highly detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills and able to handle multi priorities under pressure.
Comfortable working with various Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent understanding of reservation systems and how they interact with property systems.
