What can you expect?
The Rentals Head Service Technician selects, trains and leads the small team of Service Technicians to provide a high level of service as part of the Rentals Team. They are tasked with making ensure that the rental fleet is appropriately maintained and safe for re-issue. They also take responsibility for all the tuning, repair and adjustment of non-rental equipment brought to us by guests. Accurate cash handling is also a part of the role. During busy periods on the Rental Floor, all Service Technicians are expected to assume roles distributing or returning equipment, helping guests or working on the cash. The Rentals Head Service Technician reports to the Rentals Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Service Tech Team to provide excellent guest service.
Assist guests with their equipment needs in a knowledgeable, efficient and friendly manner.
Provide training, supervision and professional development to the Service Technicians.
Tuning, adjustment and repairs to all kinds and to all manner of ski and snowboard equipment.
Safe and proper handling and maintenance of related tools, equipment and exhaust systems.
Keeping a safe, clean and well-organized workspace that is free of clutter.
Ensuring guest profile accounts are accurate, complete and up to date.
Accurately complete daily cash outs as required, be accountable for any variances.
Ensure that the administration of all liability/waiver documentation is done in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure that random weekly bench testing is taking place and properly recorded.
Monitoring of stock levels including tools and consumables, preparing purchase orders.
Helping distribute or return equipment during busy times or when the shop is short-staffed.
Contribute as a part of the Rentals leadership group to the operation as a whole.
Requirements:
The ideal Head Technician is a strong skier.
Experienced ski and board tuner/repairer/adjuster in a busy commercial setting. Preference for candidates familiar with Wintersteiger and Speedtronic machines
High level of emotional maturity to manage a dynamic team of young seasonal workers.
You are passionate about great customer service.
You show a clear understanding of why proper base condition and structure is important and how to achieve it.
Computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products and Windows is an asset.
This can be a physically demanding position requiring some manual labour and lifting.
Working on a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays will be expected.
