What can you expect?
The Rental and Service Tech Supervisor is a front-line employee who oversees the operation of both rental shops and provides leadership to the Rental Team. The Supervisor is responsible for all day-to-day operations of both rental shops to ensure outstanding guest experience. During busy times the Supervisor may "float" around the operations to support line-staff, reassign staff to busier areas of the shop if required. The Supervisor oversees the Service Tech Team to ensure the fleet is properly maintained and that guests requiring service are properly taken care of.

Key Responsibilities:
Hire, train and supervise the Rentals and Tech Shop Staff, and supervise day-to-day operations in both rental locations.
Be actively involved in all daily tasks to help lead the team by example.
Assisting guests with their equipment needs, issuing equipment, setting bindings and taking returns.
Prepare for, conduct and document morning meetings.
Ensure locations are properly staffed every day and open during operating hours.
Set a high standard for all interactions with guests and fellow staff. Help avoid or diffuse difficult situations.
Take responsibility for staff performance management: Performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, coaching sessions, written warnings, and terminations.
Be responsible for accurate and daily cash collecting and reporting.
Help control and maintain the rentals inventory including equipment, parts and consumables.
Prepare and submit purchase orders and material requests
Carry out administrative tasks, ensure filing and office/shop cleaning is done to a high standard.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained and regularly rotated in its racks including skis, boards and boots.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an effective leader managing a team of 20-30 staff.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
High level of competence in money handling, record keeping and inventory control.
Hands-on experience in ski tuning and repair. Preference for candidates familiar with Wintersteiger and Speedtronic machines
Certified technician on the major brands of ski and snowboard bindings.
High level of emotional maturity to manage a dynamic team of young seasonal workers.
You have computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products and Windows is an asset.
Administrative level experience with Sports Rental or similar equipment rental software.
Working on a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays will be expected.
