THE ROLE: The Reservations and Revenue Manager will play a pivotal role in maximizing the hotel’s revenue through strategic pricing, yield management, analysis of market trends, effective inventory management, and reservations strategies. This role requires a blend of analytical expertise and leadership skills to oversee both revenue optimization and the efficiency of the guest services team and in general implementing strategies to achieve and exceed budget objectives for all three hotels. ACTIVITIES: The duties and responsibilities for the Reservations and Revenue Manager include but are not limited to the following: Revenue Management: In conjunction with the Regional Revenue Manager, develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to maximize room revenue and market share. Conduct market analysis and monitor competitor rates and demand patterns to refine pricing and distribution strategies. Manage customer segmentation and develop targeted pricing for each segment. Prepare and present detailed revenue forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis to executive management. Responsible for best practice standards to include competitor length of stay yield management, inventory availability by channel, and rate loading. Inventory & Channel Management: Manage room inventory and pricing across all distribution channels, including OTA, GDS, and direct booking platforms. Ensure optimal visibility and pricing on all online travel agencies and booking platforms to maximize occupancy and revenue. Reservations Management: Train, mentor, and develop the guest services team to enhance their performance and customer handling skills to maximise captured reservations. Implement processes to improve reservation accuracy, overbooking, and manage group bookings effectively. Monitor reservation inventory and block allotments to ensure maximum profit is achieved. Ensure website booking process is maintained up to date and functional. Assist in managing room authorizations, rates, restrictions, including communicating rate restrictions and strategies to each property. Review reservation booked daily, review arrival report daily. Manage Group Bookings and Entering of Rooming Lists Ensure special handling of repeat guests and VIP guests. Review blocking for long stay, suites, and special requests. Oversee the guest services management of no-show and cancelled reservations and process charges according to hotel policy. Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Front Office teams to align revenue strategies with promotional activities and guest services. Analysis of group pricing proposed by the sales team and approves pricing. Provide guidance and support to the sales team on revenue management principles and best practices. System & Process Management: Maintain and optimize revenue management systems and tools, including integration with property PMS and RMS. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into revenue and reservations systems to support operational efficiency.
